Overview
Ocelot partnered with a Fortune 500 telecom client to help them modernize their service ordering tool and deploy it to agents across their call centers.
The Need
The client came to Ocelot with the goal to update and roll out an enhanced ordering tool. With the variety of providers for customers to choose from it is increasingly important that customer service be as fast and efficient as possible. With a proven history of delivering quality modern web tools, Ocelot was a perfect fit to help the client again their goals.

The Solution
To help the client meet their goal, Ocelot put together a team of individuals with a history of developing and deploying modern web applications. These individuals joined a diverse team of other developers to help drive the product over the finish line. In addition to delivering on features, Ocelot participated in knowledge sharing with the rest of the team helping to establish best practices which could be shared across the organization.
In order to better understand the struggles faced by the call center representatives and build the right solution for them, members of the team shadowed the representatives through their day to day practices. This close contact with the end users allowed the team to provide a solution that not only solved the high-level business problem but was intuitive and user friendly.
Over the course of six months Ocelot and the rest of the development team successfully completed the development of the updated ordering system and ensured that its release and adoption was successful.
The Results
With the help of Ocelot, the client was able to successfully complete the upgrade of their existing call center ordering software. This allowed them to roll it out to all of their customer service agents. Call center agents were very pleased with the new tool and reported that it helped them process customer requests easier and quicker than they were able to previously.
